  I'm a big fan of Survival Horror games and I enjoy trying to come up with creatures that are disturbing and hopefully different. I draw alot of inspiration from certain elements within nature and anatomy. Mostly skulls , skeletons, insects and sea creatures.
  
  
  
  
  I try to incorporate bits and pieces of these elements to help bring a "believability" to the idea. Hopefully the viewer can then be convinced that this creature could have or does exist somewhere. Nuances and attention to detail can go along way in making your image pull off such a thing.
